I Started Because the Paperwork Beat Good People
My first real look at Medicare came from helping a neighbor who had been staring at the same booklet for a week. Everything in it was technically correct and almost none of it was written for her. She wanted to know one thing, whether her own doctor would still be there afterward, and the answer was buried on a page she never reached.
That is the work I do now. I read the fine print so you do not have to, then I put it back in words you can repeat to your family over dinner. If a plan looks good on paper but falls apart the moment I check it against the pills you take, I will say so.
You will always hear the same thing from me whether the answer is easy or awkward. I would rather tell you a plan is wrong for you and lose the enrollment than watch you find out in a waiting room next spring.
